Our Mission

The Greater Jefferson County Foundation receives, accepts and distributes funds for educational, cultural, civic and charitable purposes for the benefit of the greater community of Jefferson County, Iowa.

Our Goals

Assist qualified organizations through grant distributions.

Provide scholarships for  post-secondary education and training.

Encourage individual and corporate involvement through gifts and bequests.

Administer and invest funds for the creation of perpetual opportunities and services.

 The Scholarship Program began in May of 1988 with a donation of $20,000 and has grown to be in excess of a half of million dollars.   The Foundation awards nearly 40 scholarships annually totaling nearly $100,000.
